OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - Target Audience

The audience I'll be targeting will be 18 - 40 year olds, as they are the main target audience of the big brands such as Nike, Primark, GAP etc..


"Nike is going after 3 kinds of customers"



'Kids who play sports are a growing part of Nike's business, according to Parker.' 









It being as low 18 only because you become most aware of the things that happen in actual life, any lower reaches out to an innocent age. At the age of 18 you're starting university and establishing yourself which means paying to select a brand identity and becoming customer loyalty of the big names. This also applies to the working people. 

The reason behind capping it to 40s is because parents can inform their kids of the corrupt brands. For one of Nikes target market is young athletes but only because they have a chance of becoming professional & being sponsored by Nikes image. This tactic of involving sports reaches out to a huge target audience but that tactic only thrives because of the younger generation.
