OUGD505 - Studio Brief 1 - Licence to Print Money - Development

Gathering digital typeface which would work hand in hand in the futuristic look that I'm trying to execute. The initial idea was to use percentage as a form of when out of money, as my concept was meant to be expressed through a battery source. This however sided away from the money aspect, so following onto the pound sign as that is the where I'm born. To also consider that as a country we are most likely to be one of the first to make change in the financial aspect
I began to create various shapes that linked back to the research gathered on interfaces. I wanted to visually communicate a sense of movement through the cut of sections of the shape.

The colour scheme provided relates back colours in Tron as their are 2 sides to leadership within the film. Blue expressing a more pure side where as orange & black being aggressive & intimidating side

First development was to apply the contactless visual feature as well as the amount of money stored on the card. The continous line communicates the connect it'll need in order to remain functional as a card.

This development consisted on getting the layout in order as shape & line was the only feature within my money. Because my design is futuristic which is influenced by the film Tron, its visual aspects cuts back to the bare minimum to bring a sense of minimalism. Incorporating an electrical feel to the card in which is conveyed through the use of blue beam lines that are involved within the film
