I wanted to get used to the effects within Photoshop and so I utilised a shimmering visual that happened to be the leg of a table. Originally I wanted to experiment with photography so by taking the image into photoshop to then play around with colour adjustments/effects I was able to create a similar outcome to the original cover. Although this design proved to be much more complex and abstract.The original cover featured clouds and so I thought clouds travel through the sky but don't have the restriction, they're completely random in how they form and move. This then led my design to be out of control.
I did this by starting off with multiplying layers & inserting colours which lead to an abstract form which happened to turn out rather interestingly. I felt that the liquify effect worked especially well because it brought the design to life giving it that natural look. I was pleased to have used the photoshop effects as it enabled me to perform a different approach to designing.
