OUGD603 - Brief 03 - Alete Couture

Concept

The name Alete (elite) Couture is a reflection of what the brand images will provide, through its high quality garments to its competitive prices. Producing urban & sophisticated contemporary designs/trends.

Rather than using the word elite, the play on words with Alete seemed to fit much better especially for it being spelt different. The 2 words sound similar but I feel the word Alete would be remembered visually. Each letter within the word compliments the visual aesthetic of the brand name also.

The word/name back dates to Greek Mythology - Aletes
 was the son of Aegisthus and Clytemnestra, the king and queen of Mycenae.



Marketing Direction

Age Range - 18 - 26

The brand is to represent quality and high class so I’ll be aiming to reach out to young - adults who follow a minimal/sophisticated urban style. 

The brand will eventually be available in both genders further down the line, starting off with male clothing. 


The aim,

is to collaborate with a fashion student to produce high quality garments that have been constructed with good fitting. As the designer I will be focussing on designing the label & the promotional material behind the brand in order for a successful launch.
