Barbara Hepworth - Opposing Form
Seeing as this brief is based on shapes i thought i would look into Barbara Hepworths - Opposing form pieces of art. They all give off a certain mood through the use of colour and how wild shapes have been used throughout each piece of art, for example Barbara associated a piece of her work on the Greek culture, which is clever in a way because it only makes sense what it is related to after being told.
I think this kind of style would be great as backing paper for frames, creating mood and a visual understanding of the image you want to place within the frame.
