OUGD405 Photoshop Induction

Photoshop Induction

we had an induction onphotoshop learning how to use the basic tools within the software, how we came about this was by editing film posters by adding and taking away certain visuals but trying to make it look legit from the things i had placed within the poster.
I'm fairly good at photoshop knowing the tools and how to use them, but from using illustrator so much i forgotten why i used photoshop from the start, but from this tutorial has allowed me to understand the difference and why you would & wouldn't use photoshop for specific things, likewise illustrator.

Here is the original poster we had to manipulate within photoshop giving us knowledge on how to use certain tools when needs be within our work.

I took this image and used the lasso tool so i can take the wolverine and place it within the Looper poster design.

Here is the Film poster i edited, I simply placed wolverine within the poster and Iron mans helmet onto of Bruce Willis using colour adjustments to make them suit the posters colour.  I didn't do much as i was working on my own resources, basing mine on lawless.
Using levels to adjust colour of image bringing in a more whiter image, making it less dirty looking. this will allow the image to fit in with the rest of the manipulated poster. I also learnt how to Use the lasso tool to save some of the image that the magic wand automatically selects to delete.

In the second session i became more familiar with the tools such as having a better understanding of the spot healing/healing as i was able to copy bruce willis's finger as it was missing, allowing it to look more like he's holding the light sabre.

I decided to do a humorous lawless poster, when editing there faces into the given body I used a different way from the others, which was by using a vector mask only because its easier to undo what you erase out and the fact it doesn't damage the pixels of the photos. the humour side to it is simply the fact i've turned Tom Hardy into a alcoholic and Shia Labeouf into Jango Fett, Baring in mind I'm going over the top with time period from when lawless was set in 1831
