OUGD406 - Studio Brief 2 - Book Cover Finals

After the development stage i got people to critic a few of my designs in order to help improve & communicate the right message through the visuals brought to the eye.
The book is about making the most of yourself, becoming better at what you do. So from looking at the original book gave me instant ideas on a colour scheme, That being Silver & Gold to communicate position for example a 'Race' theres 3rd (Bronze) 2nd (Silver) 1st (Gold) So because there was restrictions on colour the best colour to suit this genre of book was Gold & Silver. The arrow head shapes represent progression, moving up in life & being in a higher position. The 2 arrows next to the 'It's' part of the type are to allow the
reader to get a better understanding of both sections of the title (It's not how good / It's how good)

My first development which didn't quite fit to
my standard because of the 'Paul Arden' at bottom right isn't
legible enough & also interferes  with the alignment of the arrows.

My second development was better but didn't give
the eye chance to focus on the title

The third development allows the cover to breath, giving more
shape into the cover through the separation of the block between the
title and the author making it look a lot more elegant .
